How the SEO Score Is Calculated
Every site we analyse gets a single score from 0 to 100. It is a weighted sum of the on-page checks below — nothing hidden, nothing subjective. Here is exactly how the points add up.
Scores are colour-banded on the report: 90 and above is green (good), 50 to 89 is amber (needs work) and below 50 is red (poor).

Five checks are graded rather than pass/fail: the title tag scores best at 10–70 characters, the meta description at 70–160 characters, and the text-to-HTML ratio at 25–70%. A page loses points above 8 CSS files or 12 JavaScript files. Keyword consistency compares your top 5 keywords against the title, description, headings and meta keywords.
What is not part of the score
PageSpeed Insights, structured data (GEO), security headers and AI-visibility signals are shown on every report for guidance, but they do not currently affect the 0–100 score. The score reflects on-page SEO fundamentals only.
This score is our own guidance to help you improve a website. It is not an official Google metric, and we are not affiliated with Google. Search rankings depend on many factors beyond any single tool.
